Intensive courses suit some!
An intensive course can speed up the process of learning to drive, but there are both advantages and disadvantages to this type of course.
Advantages :-
Disadvantages :-
If you have decided to go for it...
Have an assessment session, even if you are a complete beginner, to assess your needs. Assessments are charged at the standard rate, There is nothing to loose but it could save you a lot of money.
A beginners assessment is intended for people who have never driven a car before. It will last three hours and consist of 90 minutes in an automatic vehicle in which you will learn to steer, move off safely, stop smoothly and discover speed and spatial awareness. This will be followed by 90 minutes in a manual car in which you will add gear changing to the skills already learned together with some basic clutch control skills.
At the end of a Strictly Driving Intensive assessment you will know if you can withstand the rigours of an intensive course and it also becomes possible to estimate (not to predict) how many hours of training will be required.
If you have passed the Theory Test, the commencement date for your course can be arranged to culminate with your practical test.
If accommodation is required during intensive courses on the South Coast, assistance in arrangements are part of the service if required, although there is rarely any difficulty in obtaining discounted rates for hotel and guest house accommodation when booking more than a month in advance.
