UK reform plan - learner drivers
Incredible value for money

What is being done?

We now know that the UK Government intends to radically reform both testing and learning methods in ways that are less concerned with skills, in favour of a system that develops driver independence and greater awareness to ensure that new drivers are mentally equipped to deal with the real issues that affect road safety.

Similar changes are either planned or have already taken place in many other EU Countries. One of the most exciting changes for driver training is the move towards coaching new drivers in a way that allows people to learn through experience. Coaching has been adopted in a number of locations and many believe that it is set to revolutionise the driver training industry. The EU Coaching Project HERMES, which began in March 2007 and is due to be completed in March 2010, has the aim of creating a short training course for driving instructors to allow them to develop their ‘coaching’ skills.

At Strictly Driving, training based on the coaching model is available NOW!
